As published on CoinDesk, Dr. Paul Ennis and Rachel-Rose O’Reilly published an article titled “Bitcoin’s Scaling Debate: The View From China’s Miner” looking at some points of view from the Chinese Bitcoin Mining community, from which a large majority of the bitcoin mining hashrate is derived, views the scaling debate for increasing the number of transactions which can be processed by the blockchain each block.
Dr. Ennis is an assistant Professor in UCD’s Quinn School of Business, and has published work relating to bitcoin and cybersecurity in the past, as well as running the Translating the Blockchain event last year which we covered here on the site.
